Connection is a special piece of jewelry developed in collaboration between jewelry designer and goldsmith Saskia Besiakov and Efterliv Studio.

The jewelry consists of two parts that belong together. A silver bracelet, worn by you, and a silver pendant with a silk cord, which can be placed at the grave, laid in the coffin, or hung in a place of special significance.

The two parts are created as a symbol of the continued connection between two people – even when death has separated us.

Why we created Connection

When a person dies, many experience a sense of loss.
Not just in life, but also in the body.
As if a part of us still belongs to the one we have lost.

Connection springs from that feeling.

We wanted to create a piece of jewelry that symbolizes not a farewell, but a connection. Therefore, the jewelry consists of two parts. One stays with you. The other can find a place with the one you love.

For some, the pendant will accompany the coffin at the funeral. For others, it will hang on a branch at the gravesite, lie by an urn, or take on a completely different meaning. There is no right way to use it.

The most important thing is not where the two parts are located.

It is that they still belong together.

We believe that love does not end because a person dies. It changes. It finds new ways to be present.

Connection is created as a quiet reminder of just that.

How to care for your Connection bracelet

To take good care of your jewelry, we recommend that you take it off when you sleep, bathe, or swim. Especially avoid wearing the bracelet in swimming pools, as chlorine can affect the jewelry and shorten its lifespan.

If your bracelet breaks, you are always welcome to contact Efterliv Studio. If it is due to normal wear and tear or damage not covered by the warranty, it will often be possible to have the jewelry repaired for a fee.
